Definition Of Justice

The Civil War left men homeless and black-hearted. Men who were callused and hard, without feeling for their fellowman. They drifted west, leaving trails of blood behind them. 

Tom Strickland came home to find his parents lying in a pool of blood, unmercifully butchered by such men. He rides out a young boy on a quest for revenge. He would find these men who destroyed his world. In so doing, without knowing, he becomes a man. 

His meeting Jake Thornton, a Texas Ranger, would play a big part in all that. Jake is a respected Ranger who rides for law and justice. 

Though Jake is a Texas Ranger, he is torn between right and wrong when he meets the man who put the scars on his back fifteen years ago. Will he seek revenge, or will he stay true to the law that he was sworn to uphold? Either way, with help from his horse, "Boogeyman" the lawless can't run fast enough or far enough to escape the pounding hooves closing in behind them.
